Team Crupi

Starting the season off with breaking down the Rumphumpster

Catcher: McCann, best catcher in the league, solid numbers

First Base: Pujols, keeper and obviously huge numbers, so far so good Crupi

Second Base: Uggla, another Crupi man-crush. Uggla took a huge step forward last year with his OBP. If he keeps that up and hits 30 bombs then he will be fine.

Third Base: Youk, a keeper that probably peaked with a career year, great in this league with his OBP, even if he falls back to earth he will be fine at third

Shortstop: Furcal, if healthy he is very good, if not Crupi can forget about getting any SB's. Low side 20 bags, high side 40

Outfield: Beltran, Ludwick, Ankiel, JD Drew...all good HR guys but will the TB's come? Drew will play 120 games so look for Ankiel to play a lot of OF and fill UTIL with someone else. Beltran will be solid if healthy, 25 bags and a 380 OBP is nice

Bench: the only one of worth is Jose Lopez who is a solid backup for Uggla

Starting Pitching: Hamels, Lackey, Dempster, Verlander, Nolasco. Hamels a total stud as long as his arm is fine. I think the best value out of these guys will be Nolasco, lights out this spring and part of a great staff. Lackey is showing signs of wear but when healthy he will give you all categories. Cueto may hit a groove, still uo and down though. Dempster or Verlander, one of them will have a down year but thats fine, 3 solid.

Relief Pitching: Bell and Ryan, Ryan is tossing 80 mph volleyballs early, thats not great. Bell is fine, Bagshaw could pitch in that park, Balfour should be closing in TB at the end of the year. Upgrades needed.

All in all a good team, pitching needed off waiver wire, solid hitting, outfield a little shaky but should be competitive.
