The blog feels rested and energized...

Thanks to these two gentleman, the league and the blog is energized. Bags has been licking his chops for a good blog post and I always listen to the elder statesman.

Trade breakdown:

Sully sent the hard hittin Aaron Hill to Fitz for Brian Roberts. Sully picks up some SB's and Runs, Fitz gets a power hitter at the 2B position. Don't think either of them will be a 5th keeper though. Winner:TBD

Richards sends Votto and Josh Johnson to Crupi for Verlander and Ellsbury. Strictly a K and SB move for me, Crupi gets his 4th and 5th keeps. Winner: Crupi for next year, I did this to win...Verlander may make the 5th keeper over Rollins, Cliff Lee, not sure yet

Crupi sends Hamels to Markakis. A real gamble here, which Hamels shows up, my bet is the better one, but not the great one. I think the extra 20 some innings in the playoffs tired him out, but if he pans out he is stud. Markakis is another one of Crupi's butt buddies, solid young power OF though, Crupi did a hell of a job on the phones.

Sully sends David Price to Brown for Chad Qualls. Nice to see Brown staying active, tough year for a guy who knows baseball. Good trade, Price could show something after he beat the Sox last night, he could even be a pawn in a trade later on. Sully gets a closer to push that category.

A lot of categories up for grabs right now. Who will be buyers and who will be sellers?

Ev? Is that you? In 3rd place? Dean must be eating his hat right now

Hump day is here and Ev seems to be humping the crap out of this league. Two parts to that story though, we will go over that in detail a little later

1. Team Riz, finally enjoying some breathing room from Fitz. Votto back from the DL, picking up Fuentes in a trade, top staff in the league. The only category I need to pick up on is steals, everything else is right on and primed to be right there at the end. Sandoval has been a big help at catcher, has he even caught a game?

2. Team Fitz, fell back down a bit but still a formidable foe. McCutchen and Rolen have really been on fire of late, Bedard on the DL hurts, needs to bump up that win category. OBP still very low and svaes are high. May do well moving a top of the line reliever for a solid started or a high OBP guy. An 11 in TB's should assure him a spot at the top of the league for awhile.

3. Team Ev, I always said, if only Ev's team could pitch, well finally they are...too much. 118 innings over the limit right now, throwing everyone but Geoff Bagshaw out there. Solid power numbers, a couple of 10's, but a 1 in ERA and a 1 in WHIP wont give you much staying power. I would trim the Arroyo's and the Blanton's of the World, and go 3 or 4 deep for now.

4. Team Bags, staying up top with great pitching. Lincecum and Felix have been a great duo for Capshaw. Scherzer a good outing last night, Longoria picking up after his slump, Ichiro and Hart have been hitting well. Bags team looks like it will compete all year. Trade with Fitz

5. Team Sully, Sully needed that Grienke win last night, CC up and down with a bad k/9 this year, Lester the ace lately. All these guys hitting on all cylinders is a solid team. OF has been up and down, Markakis may not be the top 7 OF that some had projected, but he will be steady. Sully usually makes some moves to get back in so we shall see...

6. Team Chris, really needs to trade soem SB's for some OBP and RBI's Ellsbury could get a nice return. Good staff so far, Slowey great with 9 wins. A bit over innings but he hasnt "Hickoked" himself so thats good. D Ped not doingw hat he did last year, I think Chris called that too. A power hitting 3B, SS would look good on this team.

7. Team Crowley, kid is all over the place, a ton of SB's yet no one is getting on base, great ERA but doesnt strike anyone out. Bossman Junior staring to hit and hit with some power. Sizemore back, good lineup when Reyes is back, I still like Crowleys team, Kershaw, Cain, and Shields need to produce all year and Crowley could be in contention.

8. Team Sean, way behind on innings, 51 down, work out a trade with Ev or something, tough luck with the DL, Halladay will be back but Santana who knows, Drew and Loney hitting well, Ortiz is turning out to be useful, I would get the light hitters out of that lineup, Polanco at 260 and Hairston at 240 is tough, empty numbers with no power, dealing a closer may help.

9. Team Josh? Is that you down there? Hmmmm, tough when Wright and Hanley havent performed how they should, Quentin not close to coming back, Santana ok but not dominant, Harden has come back rough, Cruz and Zobrist the only bright spot on the team...tough year

10. Team Sliggs, Webb looks like he is done for the year, Berkman just ended an 0-20, Kinsler has slowed down, Holliday not a stud this year, may be a good sell high time for Carpenter? E Jack the anchor of the staff thus far along with Carp, D Lee has been hot of late, trading Paps may bring some value too? Dean has never been one to make moves, we shall see.

11. Team Crappy, how a team with Pujols can be in 11th place is beyond me, leave it to Crupi to f this one up. Max games at each position is off, -15 at 3b b/c of Atkins, you need to pick up some guys to fill in for when people dont play Crupi, idiot. Staff looks decent, Verlander, Hamels, Cueto all have been good, it's a shame Crupi ruins it. Needing bench players asap

12. Team Brown....and the first pick in the 2010 UMASS draft is....

Let's take a look in on today's action

Team Riz, first place and putting some ground between Fitz. Rollins and Lind homered, Utley singled, Helton taking the field, Haren going tonight.

Fitz 1-7 right now, Rolen up, Garza tossing against the Rockies, Joba supposed to be throwing but that game is in a delay and looks like a washout, Morneau just doubled and scored a run, Rolen doubles

Sully back in 3rd place, Hill 0 for 4, not much doing for team Sull, Beckham a single on the bench, Lester on the hill tonight for the Sox, hope they play

BaggerVance, 2 for 9, Bartlett a triple, Kubel doubles, he has a really high OPS for not being a power hitter, I like Bags, always have.

CP, 0for 9, not much going on here, Wells 2for4 on the bench

Lind just singled in Rolen....

Ev has Cuddyer with a monster day 7TB's, Blanton roughed up, Ubaldo pitching against the Rays, down 1-0

Josh, he really has fallen, 0for5 early

Sean, 1for5 with a LaRoche single today, Duke took a loss in a 5-1 loss

Crupi, please stop starting Atkins, he is benched and they are at home so the pitcher hits, Nolasco on the hill against the sox tonight, looks like Crupi isnt starting him

Crowley 2for7 with Upton and Howard singles, Zambrano down 1-0 in the 6th, pitching well

Pig Fuckers 2for7, Scutaro a double, SB, and a run, Victorino a single, Porcello and Wolf on the mound tonight, this team is terrible

Yike Brown, Werth 4 HR's in 5 days, 12TB's today, nice day out of McLouth, Phillips SB, McLouth 2run HR

This guy needs Reyes and Sizemore back...

This guy claimed his team was NASTY!

Cowboy Up!

You suck Dean. I mean seriously? This is all you could drum up after running up a $200 phone bill on draft day? Jesus. At least you can close out a game, no one can take those saves away from you buddy...no one.

Team Fitz at 96.5. Riding a wave of hot hitting from Roberts, Jeter, and McCutchen, Fitz holds onto the top spot. All of this without getting a win last week, pretty crazy. Can his staff hold up? That's the question, Garza and Bedard have to be lights out, it's hard to trade a closer when you are on top, but that is still an option.

Team Riz at 94.5. Josh Johnson, Cliff Lee, Haren, and Billingsley had a great week. These guys should produce all year so it's really up to the bats. Rollins has been up and down, Helton has been a huge fill in for Votto, Utley has been solid, OBP from my OF has to come up a bit, need steals, Pierre slumping hurts, no Rollins steals has sucke

Team Bags at 70.5, tied with Chris. Riding a red hot Ichiro, Bags stays at 3. I love that Bags has Ichiro, it's so funny. OF playing well, Kubel and Hart have picked it up, Lincecum, Baker, and Felix have picked up wins and have become a good 1-2-3 for Bags. Why he has Bobby Parnell on the team I'll never know. Pac Man finally cools, Bags finally has a team.

Team Chris at 70.5 tied with Bags. Texy making a push for AL MVP with a solid May and June, D Ped nowhere near his numbers last year, Beltre hot the last few weeks and should take over for Blalock. Soriano with an OBP under .300 has to hit out of it or be benched, OBP killer. Weaver proving to be a great pickup by Chris, Burnett settled down after being asked to leave the Back Bay Barnes and Noble for swearing too much after he was shelled. Getting great pitching right now top to bottom, Oswalt back to back wins.

Team Sully 69.5. Getting a good OBP from each player, but not a lot of production. Markakis, ARod, Abreu, all slowed to a halt, a bunch of singles. Dunn 4 hits last week, 5TB's, that has to change before Sully falls too far back in the production categories. Was Sully all Grienke and a bumch of bums? We shall see as he has come back to earth, Lester and Lilly the aces of the staff right now.

Team Josh at 63. Figgins, Wright, and Zobrist LLC playing very well, Cruz turned cold, Hanley not playing very well with 8 hits and 9 TB's last week. Seems like all of the players are cold at once, that leads to being in the 60's. Santana hit hard yesterday, worst one of his career, Harden a good outing but no one blowing the doors off. Balfour back to pitching well, Rodney 2 bad saves.

Team Crupi: Someone PLEASE tell Crupi that Atkins has been benched, and besides interleague play, he isn't playing. Read stuff Crupi. Besides Pujols and a little bit of Youk, no power right now, Uggla has stunk. Cueto and Verlander have been lights out for Poopster, Hamels needs to become the ace.

Team Ev 61.5: A Gonz slowed his 50 homer pace, Tulo really carrying the team right now, 19TB's last week. Kennedy and Cuddyer aren't cutting it right now, maybe drop a few pitchers and pick up some temporary hot bats. Pavano finally lit up, Swarzak good but in the minors now, who will step up on the staff? Dice K needs to give Ev wins, Danks and Millwood both won last week.

Team Crowley at 59. Reynolds and Hunter hot with 5 HR's last week, Reyes and Sizemore on the DL isnt helping, Grady may be back soon. Upton swipes 7 bags last week, Crowley should trade some speed for a big bat. I still like Crowley's staff longterm, Kershaw, Shields, Lowe. Cain has been outstanding. I would trade for a big bat Crowlz.

Team Sean: Halladay going down hurts, been hitting well, Hawpe, Drew, Bay, and Mauer have been hot and have pounded the ball. Might be time to let Ortiz fill the UTIL slot. Beckett good until yesterday's 6th inning, Ervin Santana isn't worth starting right now, needs a pitcher to step up while Halladay is down.

Team Sliggs 45.5: Berkman, DeRosa, DLee carrying the Sons Of Chief, JJ Hardy is awful. Kinsler cold as Dean's tits at high tide, Holliday a singles hitter, Martin can't hit his way out of a wet paper bag. Carpenter outduled by Riz last night, Outman and Porcello filling in admirably, 4 saves though! Cant beat it!

Team Brown 33: Peavy on the DL for 3 months RIP Team Brown...and the first pick in the draft is..........

A Two Horse race...

If you can tell from the stench in the league, Josh is back from Alaska. Finally drops Percival and picks up Dean's old butt buddy Crush Davis. Not many trades floatin around, a lot of FA pickups though. Crupi, your team still "Nasty" in this league? Hardly...

Team Fitz: Fitz has gotten help with Peralta's eligibility at 3B, Happ has a nice outing and looks like he has stayiong power for the year. Morneau was 3/3 last night, 7TB's. Patchwork staff getting it done so far, a bit high on innings but that usually even's out.

Team Riz: Lind was 5/5 last night and now has hits in his last 8 AB's. Finally some offensive output, not the hitting I had last year though, Braun needs to heat up. Needed that Josh Johnson win, low on wins as my innings are low starting 4 guys. Helton filling in for Votto has actually been steady.

Team Bags: Uh oh Bags, Miggy comes up limp with a hammy issue, doesnt start Scott Baker's gem, 4 hits last night, all singles, Bags looks vulnerable right now...but he probably doesnt care.

Team Sully: still waiting for that break out week from ARod, Young has been steady 3/5 last night, Dunn tough doubleheader going 0/6, pitchers starting to pitch well and looks like a pretty good staff shaping up. Price will be a key

Team Chris: Same as Sully's staff, starting to pick it up, Weaver has been very good, Oswalt finally got a win this week, Texy comes back from a bruised knee to go 2/4, Soriano slow on the knee, needs someone to catch fire, Vernon Wells a bust so far.

Team Josh: righting the ship as it was sinking when he was in AK. Vlad starting to hit again, still can't throw a ball, Staff looking suspect right now, Wandy not what he was in the early month, Josh will hit...but can he pitch?

Team Crupi: Good day for Crupi, Atkins 2 HR's, still doesnt make up for his awful year, Pujols and Melky HR's, Hamels a 9inning gem, Lackey a tough luck 7ip ND, Wake a win on the bench, 1orbi's last night, Crupi needs a few days of this.

Team Sean: Hawpe a dinger, Mauer hot with a 3/4 day, Halladay and Beckett are really going to have to carry this staff as I think Sean will hit, but the 3rd starter is still up in the air. Fuentes has been good all year.

Team Ev: Crawford HR and a steal, Inge a good day on the bench, Kazmir not ready to come off the DL, may need to shed a pitcher as those innings are adding up. If a true ace emerges this team should be fine all year, Liriano isn't that ace, Danks isn't either. Who will it be?

Team Crowley: good day for Crowlz, 2 wins, Cain a 5inning CG, BUpton HR, Hunter stays solid, Kershaw outdueled by Hamels

Team Sliggs: I mean come on, make a trade or something, blogging this team is sooooooooo terrible, Carpenter was untouchable, Kinsler dinger, 8 runs and Paps a save. Blahhhh

Team Brown: Prince Fielder. and thats it

Manny-Likey

Fitz has taken command of the league. With a patchwork staff and some hitters finally hitting their stride, his team is on top of its game. Not much movement, essentially 3 tier league right now. Remember, we have money slots for the All-Star break...get some.

Team Fitz: Carlos Lee and Joba bring Fitz back into 1st. Joba gets attacked by bugs through 8ip and gets the W, Lee 3/3 with 6TB's, Jeter extends hit streak.

Team Riz: Pierre, Rollins, and Utley stay hot. OBP has been taking a hit with Lind, Braun, and Votto either hurt or not playing well. 30innings behind, may need to trade for another SP at some point.

Team Sully: hanging around 80pts, Kemp 2/4, Sully is starting Weiters and taking his early lumps, Lester looks like a great move as he strings together 2 good starts, Kaz on the DL for Ev, Grienke coming back to earth just a bit.

Team Bagger Vance: Bags can't seem to settle on a starting lineup, Lopez looks off, Ichiro and Longoria giving him staying power, Volstad solid all year, "Sherez" lit up over ther weekend.

Team Josh: back from Alaska and balls deep in 5th place, Hanley solid playing through pain, Vlad needs to pick up for Quentin being on the DL, Palmer headed back to the bullpen, Santana still a pitcher with little help.

Team Chris: How Beltre is still playing third baffles me, guy has a .260OBP, and that is higher than last week. Pedroia hitting but light years away from last year, 17HR and 80 some RBI's? I dont see it this year. Oswalt gets back on the horse and dominates the Rockies, Lidge gets his shit together until his next run in with Pujols

Team Ev: I love ya Ev, but to think you weren't going to keep A Gonz is funny, 20HR's. JUpton and Crawdad hitting well, Craw 30 bags, Pavano his best arm right now...

Team Crupster: Staff settling down a bit with a resurgent Verlander, Lackey getting the feel back, and Cueto solid. Besides Pujols someone has to step it up, Beltran has been sick, McCann has been hitting well with his new glasses

Team Sliggs: coming around boys, Holliday has hit well of late, a few HR's in the past days, Berkman getting through the low .200's, holding onto Myers for their playoff run, enough closers to starve a small family

Team Sean: Mauer coming back down to the mere mortals, a good lineup, this team can still go somewhere, if Ortiz ever was worth playing the TB numbers would be there, Santana possible TJ surgery, he needs Bay to stay hot

Team Crowley: needs to throw Sizemore on the DL, Alexei coming around, Howard still all or nothing, Reynolds great last week, BUpton needs to get out of the low .200's.

Team Brown: Volquez looks like he will go back to the DL after 1 inning, Hamilton may join him again, ARam back after the All Star break, Chipper's toe hurts, good team with a ton of problems, looks like its back to the 99 to regroup.

Is this guy all done?

a week in review...

Patrick Bateman: Paul Allen has mistaken me for this dickhead Marcus Halberstram. It seems logical because Marcus also works at P&P and in fact does the same exact thing I do and he also has a penchant for Valentino suits and Oliver Peoples glasses. Marcus and I even go to the same barber, although I have a slightly better haircut.

1. Team Fitz: Fueled by Morneau and Roberts, 21 TB's by Morneau OBP of .500. Roberts 19TB's, VMart only blemish for the week. Randy Wells has been his best pitcher 14K's in 14ip, whip under 1, Bedard picked up a win.

2. Team Riz: can't seem to get on base lately, Pierre has been hot, 22TB's and 3 steals, Votto back with 2HR's, Braun has been quiet after his hit on the wrist, Billingsley and CLee were average, Meche lit up, Haren stays solid.

3. Team Bags: OF carrying him with A Jones and Ichiro getting on base a ton, Ichiro with a .519 obp, Longoria playing well with 4runs and 4rbi's, great pitching by Lincecum, Felix the cat, Baker, all with wins and solid era and whip, pitching has vaulted Bags up.

4. Team Josh: Cruz is crushing the ball, 22TB's with 3 steals, Zobrist continues to get on base, .484 with 17TB's, Santana 2 wins, Gallardo strong going 8 without a win.

5. Team Sully: judgement time for team Sully, will he keep falling or begin his way back up? ARod back hot going 10/25, but Markakis cools off with only 8TB's over the week. Kemp and Granderson 3 steals each. Grienke CG as usual, If not for him Sully's staff would be knee deep in poop, CC solid but light on K's

6. Team Chris: Texy playing as well as anyone, 24TB's, .448 obp, Rios and Soriano tough week, Soriano battling a bad knee, staff doing well but awfully high WHIPs, cant win when your ace pours in a 1.42, Lidge and Lindstrom have been awful of late.

7. Team Crupi: McCann ripping the ball, hittin .500 since his DL stint, Pujols cold with 3 singles, Span getting an obp of .550, Verlander, Cueto, and Lackey all solid for the week, each going 7, Dempster and Maholm awful, Nolasco to the minors, Crup-a-looooop

8. Team Ev: A-Gonz hammering the ball around, Justin Upton 21TB's, 6 runs 2 steals, Ev's staff looks like a full body dry heave set to music, Dice-K is a disaster, Arroyo has been his best with 2 strong starts and 2 wins. Ace Liriano isn't what he was, now 2 years removed may not be the same again.

9. Team Sean: Mauer continues to rake, 9/8/0/16/.481, Loney 13 hits, mostly singles, but knocking people in, Bay cools off with 8TB's, Halladay good, Beckett untouchable

10. Team Sliggs: well well well, look who it is out of the basement, the big man, Casey Blake has been his best...yes Casey Blake, 15TB's, Kinsler cools off, Berkman still a disapointment, Holiday a solid singles hitter, good pitching though, fueled his move, Crapenter near perfect, Jackson and Wolf have been consistent, Papelbon tough week.

11. Team Brown: F Sanchez hit .500, Tejada 19TB's, McClouth 1for18, Peavy solid after his trade scare with 2 wins, Randy just had a nice start for #299, Chipper hurting and Hamilton cold off the DL

12. Team Crowley: Sizemore and Alexei picked it up after cold starts, Howard at an .269 obp, Pudge 1for11, Hunter with 9rbi's, pitching has been good with Cain and Kershaw picking up wins, Zambrano beats a water jug to death and gets a suspension...looked a lot like Shot LaBody out there...hmmmmmm.

stay thirsty my friends

We're back and not much has changed....

Fitz still making a move to first, Sully fading slowly but surely, Dean is still terrible, and the staying power of one g_bag_shaw. Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone

Team Riz: Rollins 4/6 with a steal, Utley and Helton 14TB's, line of 8/12/1/25/.381. Juan Cruz lit up in a 1/3 of an inning.

Team Fitz: 3/7/0/14/.324, Ibanez hit his 15th, Roberts a HR, average pitching day, 13innings no wins, Morneau has been hot of late with Mauer back in the lineup, fueling his jump

Team Bagger: 16TB's last night, great pitching from Lincecum 10K's and "Scherez" 10K's, save from Rivera

Team Sully: Markakis 3/5 w 6TB's, Granderson HR, Greinke ND with 8K's in 6, Lester a win for the Sox, Franklin save, Sully needs to regain that hittin form

Team Josh: Nelson Cruz had a day with 2rbi's 2steals and 3TB's, HR by Zobrist (Dutch?), save Rodney, Percival implosion

Team Crupster: 4/3/0/11/.348, Pujols dinger, Uggla a HR on the bench , Heath Bell a win, Crupi staying stagnant, not really falling but showing no signs of moving up

Team CP: 6/2/1/17/.359, Texy stays hot 2/3, Wells and Pedroia 2/4, Ellsbury a steal, Oswalt still not looking great, Wainwright 8 2/3 with a win, didn't start Saunders who has been on a tear.

Team Brown: scrapes himself out of the basement to respectability, Phillips a HR, Tejada a solid game 5TB's, saves from Qualls and Hanrahan, Qualls struck out the side

Team Sean: a resurgence since Mauer has been back, huge line 8/16/1/31/.474, Cabrera 4/5 2 runs and 2 rbi's, Mauer 8TB's (of course), LaRoche a HR, save Hoffman and Fuentes

Team Ev: Cano a big game 3/4 with a HR 7TB's, 4/5/0/14/.324, Millwood ok but no win, goes 8

Team Crowley: Reynolds keeps playing well HR, steal, 3rbi's, Pence a HR, Howard 1/5 with a dinger, Upton 2/4

Team Sliggs: Slim's ace Edwin Jackson goes 8 strong for a win, 3/0/2/9/.324, no RBI's hurts, DLee 2/4, not much goin on here Slim

Later Sully, Hello Fitz...

all the leaves are brown
and Sully is gey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day
I'd be safe and warm
if I was in L.A
California Wertman on such a winter's day
stopped into a church
I passed along the way
well, I got down on my knees
and I pretend to pray
you know the preacher likes the cold
he knows I'm gonna stay
California Wertman on such a winter's day
all the leaves are brown
and Sully is gey
I've been for a walk
on a winter's day
if I didn't tell her
I could leave today
California Wertman on such a winter's day

Sully slipping as he sips his gey Pina Colada in L.A., Fitz takes advantage of Sully's left coast lifestyle and steals the 2nd spot. Let's see how this happened shall we?

Team Riz (91): that 1 is SB's just became a 2, starting Pierre and Taveras is a risky move but 8 steals in 4 days is where it's at. Cliff Lee strong in 7 with 9K's. Aces today, Josh Johnson and Chad Billingsley on the hill.

Team Fitz (82.5): Jesus, one of the best hitting days of all time, 14/9/1/33/.511. That's the way to jump Sully, Morneau dinger, C Lee 3/5, B Rob 2/4, Chris Young lit up. Riz has some more competition up at the top

Team Sully (81.5): Good day by the OF, Kemp 2/4, Granderson 3/6 with a steal, Abreu 1/3, win by Lilly, RP roughed up, Beimel 27.00 era, Morrow 54 era.

Team Bags (76.5): Bags staying strong, 0/6 by Longoria hurt, Bartlett a dinger 3/4 and a steal, M Cabrera a dinger, Buerhle good whip, bad era

Team Josh (73): Weeks a big day with 8TB's, looks like Josh's full time 2bag right now, Figgins takes a seat, Stewart a sneaky play with a HR, 24 TB's for the day, Percival solid with a 108.00 ERA

Team Crupi (69.5): This day was a mess. I urge everyone to look at it and heckle, started 2 people on the DL, 1 RBI, Nolasco got lit up AGAIN, Cueto solid and the only bright spot for the rumphumpster

Team Chris (63.5): Texy 2/4 with 2RBI's, Soriano hit his 11th home run, .310 OBP for the day is tough, needs more on base guys, Blalock 1/6, no pitchers went

Team Ev (56): 2 HR's by Adrian Gonzalez, Upton 2/3, Cano 2/5, Marquis roughed up with 22era and at this point shouldnt be a every week starter. Manny on the bench for some reason, I haven't heard why he is out.

Team Brown (55.5): wow, 16RBI's, 12/16/1/22/.463, great offensive numbers, Tejada, Chipper, and Phillips all big days, Hamilton a HR back from the DL

Team Sean (52.5): Bay and Loney combined 11TB's, Two good catcher with Mauer and Napoli, should trade one to get a starter. Washburn 6era and will be tough to ride all year, Pettite a nice game on the bench.

Team Crowley (43): Starting to hit, BJ 3/6, Torii Hunter 2/4, Hunter Pence 3/5 with a SB, 26TB's and a .512obp, rough save by Marmol with a 4whip

Team Sliggins (35.5): wow, how the mighty has fallen, Berkman 4/4, .500 OBP but only 10TB's, Wolf a nice game with an early lead, surprisingly good day for a team that usually craps the bed, only 55 points away Slim, keep reaching for the top

I'll trade you my lefty for your lefty

...and that was how the trade went down. Kazmir going to Ev, Ev sending Lester to Sully.

these guys enjoy a little Fantasy baseball now and then...

1. Team Riz (89.5) Bad OBP day yesterday, starting a thief at UTIL each night has helped in the SB category, Taveras or Pierre. Wilson grabbed a win, Soria to the DL.

2. Team Sully (88): Dunn with 2 HR's but pitching has been kncked around lately. A win, a save and an 11.57ERA. Grienke has carried the staff all year, better hope he continues, picked up Lester for Kaz

3. Team Bags (79.5): Longoria a quiet night for a change, Lincecum average in a no decision, A Jones stays solid with a 2/4. Capshaw had Mark Sherez on the bench

4. Team Fitz (77): win, save, 18K day, Joba win but a high whip, Garza solid against the Sox as usual, C Lee on the bench with a huge 4rbi game

5. Team Crupi (73): 4/9/1/11/.350, Pujols a HR, Duncan 3 RBI's, If Verlander can keep pitching out of his mind and Nolasco can get back to where he was last year, Crupi could have a pretty good staff heading into the summer.

6. Team Josh (72.5): 4/4/1/13/.333, OF has been quiet of late, Hanley has been picking it up, Wright still down a bit, Fukadome 2/3 with 2 doubles. Josh waiting for a break out game to get back up in the Top 3

7. Team Chris (67.5): 26TB's, 2 HR's Blalock, HR by Soriano, Wainwright and Oswalt both with 6era's, Oswalt picked up a win, Lidge shakey still

8. Team Ev (57.5): If Ev could only pitch...9/6/3/27/.528, Cano HR, Crawford, Upton, and Crisp SB's, Upton continues to outplay his bro, save Street. Picks up Kazmir from Sully

9. Team Sean (49): Loney goes 0/6 and I think it's time to ditch him, he is slugging .322, yes SLUGGING, his OPS is under .700, wow. Cantu to first, Teahen to 3rd, and Ortiz or Mags at UTIL, Mauer stays hot 2/4, Beckett decent against the Rays, save Fuentes.

10. Team Brown (46.5): Brown creepin up, Tejada 3/5 with 6TB's, McLouth HR, Volquez roughed up, save Perez and Qualls, win Ramirez for the Sox

11. Team Sligger (41): nice pitching day, win, save, 14K's, 2.87era, 1.53whip, Crush Davis dinger, tough OBP at .250, and I thought "dynastys" were supposed to always be competitive...

12. Team Crowley (39.5): good hitting day, 10/4/3/17/.349, Reyes good 5 cat day, Howard 2/4, save Gregg

NM 51

In the celebration of every young kid's hero, Manny, I give you the unsung heroes edition...

1. Team Sully (91): 2B Aaron Hill, a huge reason why Sully is on top, .366ba, 7HR, 27rbi, 25r, .411 OBP and 2 bags. At a light power position, Hill has outplayed pretty much every second baseman

2. Team Riz (90.5): OF Adam Lind, a FA pickup early April and the reason why I was able to trade Hawpe for Jenks, .336ba, 6HR's, 29rbi, 20r, .417 OBP, Lind, Braun, and Ethier have brough my OF solid consistent numbers.

3. Team Bags (80.5): OF Adam Jones, yes, the same guy that took Mark Sherez, got a steal with Jones, .359ba, 5Hr's, 19rbi, 30runs, 3 bags, and a .427OBP, solid year for a 3rd outfielder.

4. Team Fitz (78): I'll go with 1B Carlos Pena, 12 HR's at this point in a TB league is huge. Didnt really know which Pena Fitz would get but so far so good, .374 OBP is very solid.

5. Team Josh (75): RP Frank Franciso, an ERA of 0, WHIP 0.75, 9 saves and 13 K's, lightsout closer numbers from a guy he picked up late in the draft, those numbers are better than most elite closers

6. Team Crupi (68): Cueto, Crupi's butt buddy. 2-1, 1.65era, 29/9 K/BB, 1.04whip, Kershaw for Cueto trade looking pretty good, with his SP in shambles for most of the year, Cueto has been the only highlight

7. Team Chris (64.5): SP Joe Saunders, 4-1, 3.29, 16K's, 1.20 whip, with a staff that has struggled in ERA and WHIP, Saunders has provided a nice 5th day. Chris' staff has plenty of K's so Saunders has been huge.

8. Team Ev (53): 3B Zimmerman, coming off an injury season, a hit streak, 20rbi, 20run, 5HR'a and he is actually getting on base at almost 400, a risk that has been a reward

9. Team Sean (52.5): 3B Cantu, even with him being out a few weeks, he has been an anchor, 8HR's and a .400 OBP, much needed on a team without much offense

10. Team Brown (43.5): SP Hair Hurrhens, solid late pick for Brown, they deserve each other, 1.89era, 1.29whip, and 16K's, all quality starts, good back of the rotation guy

11. Team Sliggs (42.5): NJ resident Sean Higgins, great kid, always up for draft day phone sex, buys the same magazine as Dean does ("I like number 45, and 60" "oh you do too? then let's take 60") solid all year

12. Team Crowley (41): Shot LaBody, he reminds Crowley that life isn't all about fantasy baseball, or whacking off to the Brown League "Top 6", it's about destruction, drunk facebooking, and unleashing pure terror. Always ready at gametime.

Both of these guys have been suspended in their lifetime

Young Love....

Hump day update

cue the rump dance...30 seconds in, See-ya Leya, this rump was made for dancin'

Fast fact: the Top 5 teams have a combined 95 transactions, the other 7 have a combined 51. Fitz with the most at 38, Crowley in last and last in transactions with 3.

1. Team Sully: .179 OBP for the day, 10 TB's, lost points, .5 ahead

2. Team Riz: Lind, Ethier, and Votto continue to be my MVP's. Lind 2/5/0/6/.750 line

3. Team Fitz: big day for Fitz, 5/8/0/19/.421 day, Damon slaps a 3 run 215ft "shot" off Beckett, Garza and Bedard solid, save Brox and K Rod

4. Team Bags: Miggy 7TB's. Hart 3runs and a steal, Lincecum a win going 7 with 7K's

5. Team Josh: 6/7/1/25/.432, Josh has slipped of late, this should help, Cruz a dinger, Figgins stays hot, it's unreal that Josh's farts use to actually get stuck in his butt...

6. Team Crupi: uneventful, OBP at .282, Ludwick the lone brightspot, Pujols a shot off Lidge, Beltran continues hit streak

7. Team Chris: great at the plate, terrible on the mound, Molina and Pedroia lead the way with 9 TB's combined, Blalock continues to play well, Ellsbury a steal before leaving with a hammy, Wainwright pounded, K/BB this year stinks, Oswalt unimpressive before a finger injury

8. Team Ev: Zimmerman extends streak going 2/6, Crawford continues to swipe with another 1, AJ 7TB's on the bench

9. Team Sean: Bay a dinger off Joba, Joba taking his glove off after every strikeout is soooooooo annoying, Beckett a win

10. Team Sliggs: 10/7/1/21/.409, big day at the plate, Victorino 3/3/0/8/.800, Floyd and Myers not great, Myers a win, "Porcello" on the bench with a solid win, "tits"

11. Team Pete: Phillips finally breaks out, 1/6/0/6/.600, Dye 2/6, Volquez 8ip 7k's and a win

12. Team Crowley: Pence and IRod both 2/6, Guillen playing 3rd on the DL, Snell crappy in 5

Just in case this was your dealer...she's busted, and so is her face

God bless you please Mrs. Chamberlain....I mean Ms. Standley?

This guy is a real good dude

These guys play fantasy baseball...

Happy Stinko de Deano! Man that team is terrible...

985 N Pleasant.
Most of you in this league have either
1. puked here (Ev)
2. hooked up here (a lot)
3. played wiffle ball here (most)
4. been pulled over right in front(Josh)
5. won a 36 team beer pong tourney (the kid don't lose)

Let's go inside the numbers...

1. Team Sully (95.5) very well balanced, no holes although he is a little light on K's, picking up a setup man may bridge that gap. ARod will be back soon so the offense may only get better, someone steal Greinke's anxiety pills already, wtf

2. Team Riz (92) offensive powerhouse, and a 1 in steals. I have to make a deal for SB's. Rollins not getting on base hurts. 1.08 whip is nasty, Haren dominating. Two horse race

3. Team Bags (77) If he wants to win he will need another closer (3.5 saves). I'm very proud of Bags, he needs that infield to keep hitting, if not there goes the hit categories, Lopez and Bartlett? We shall see

4. Team Froggg (76) very lopsided team, 11's across the board for pitching except for wins, 3's in TB's and runs hurt, with Wright, Hanley, and Quentin slumping, this team is scary going forward.

5. Team Fitz (75.5) SB's, OBP, and Wins all need work, Carlos Lee needs to pick it up, not a lot of huge OBP guys so he needs to deal Broxton or K Rod to get some value, wins will come throughout the season

6. Team Crupi (67.5) up and down on a lot of categories, pitching needs improvement, Nolasco has been rough, needs Hamels to be that K guy, very light on K's. .388 OBP and an 11 in RBI's shows this team will produce given time.

7. Team Chris (67) This is why they say never draft wins, an 11 in wins, nothing higher than a 6 in every other P category. His staff is solid, Burnett, Oswalt need to string quality starts together, Wainwright has been good. In need of a closer, trade with Fitz.

8. Team Ev (63.5) 1's in ERA and WHIP is obviously terrible, hitting has been solid, Zimmerman hit streak, O Perez shouldnt be anywhere near a roster now in the pen, Liriano needs a turn around, dropping a few on that staff should help

9. Team Sean (49.5) and now the cellar teams, rough staff and no power, Beckett knocked around lately, Pettite giving that high WHIP, trim the fat, with Ortiz goes this offense, if he stinks all year no higher than this

10. Team Sliggs (41.5) he has a 12 in Saves, that's 29.5 points for 9 other categories, but he has a 12 in saves...

11. Team Crowley (40) he can steal bases, thats about it. Should trade the speed for some power, or trade for anything, another person who should trim that staff, but his success is "not listening to me" so keep doing what you're doin....lookin good!

12. Team Brown (35) can't hit to save his life or save the 99, needs Fielder, Aramis, Josh Hamilton to either hit, or come back and hit...welcome to the UMASS league my friend

Bags makin moves....

STATLER: I wonder if there really is life on another planet.
WALDORF: Why do you care? You don’t have a life on this one?

Waldorf: Bravo, bravo!
Statler: Why are you yelling bravo? Did you like it that much?
Waldorf: Nope; friend of mine, Joe Bravo, he's sitting in the front row. Bravo!

Statler: I like the steel Drums!
Waldorf: What?!?
Statler: THE PIGS' STEEL DRUMS!!!
Waldorf: I believe it! They'll take anything that isn't bolted down!

1. Team Sully: Kemp solid, Abreu swiped another bag, Suzuki a nice fill in pick up going 2/3

2. Team Riz: Lind and Ethier both with 2 hits, uneventful everyone else, no pitchers going

3. Team Fitz: Damon a dinger, a gem by Garza, he was consistently at an 0-2 count vs the Sox last night, save by big butt (not Crupi)

3. Team Frogggg: Figgins 2/4, both doubles, no pitchers went

5. Team Bags: big dump by Bags... I mean jump, 8/7/0/17/.444, Longoria 3/4 7TB's, Volstad and Mark Sherez were solid ("Mark Sherez still available? Josh: umm I guess?")

6. Team $: Jeter and Rios each 2/4, Burnett continues the crappy NYY pitching, place is a launching pad.

7. Team Crupi: big day for the Rumphumpster, 4/10/1/22/.452, Buck 8TB's, Pujols ripped one off Cabrera

8. Team Ev: continues his climb, Manny Dinger, Cameron stays hot going 3/4, Zimmerman extends hit streak to 19

9. Team Sean: Cantu 2/4/0/6/.400, Beckett was awful again, Napoli a dinger

10. Team Sliggins: stays terrible, .290 OBP, Holliday and Bradley both had DELUXE dingers, face

11. Team Brown: not much going on, C Perez a win, O Cab 2/5

12. Team Crowley: power struggle as to who will take the team over, my money is on Mr LaBody, BJ Upton turning it around, 2/5 with 2 runs

Last place takes a Flu Bomb

Sorry guys but it has been settled. Last place team has to take a Mexican Dirty Bomb (swine flu virus dropped in Guiness). CDC will send a vile up towards the end of September so we should have everything taken care of. (art by boonton)

Cheers!

1. Team Sully: quiet day, Granderson hit a right field bomb against the Yanks, Greinke finally gives up a stupid run, Kazmir banged around a bit

2. Team Riz: yuck, Rollins some how was my best hitter, 6/33, yuck, Lowell stays hot, save Wilson and Jenks, J Johnson not his best stuff.

3. Team Frogggg: 5/5/1/14/.355, Ianetta finally hit something, great pitching day, gem Gallardo 8ip 11k's 0.38 whip, Johan outduels JJ but a no decision

4. Team Fitz: 4/3/0/11/.378, Morneau 3/4, Joba shuts people up with a dominating game, Bedard goes 5 with a 5.40era

5. Team $: Molina and Beltre 7/9 with 13 TB's, Swisher 2 HR's on the bench, Vazquez average in 8 with 8k's, Wainwright win, Lindstrom save

6. Team Bags: 5/3/0/7/.289, bad OBP day, Lincecum a win going 7 striking out 8, Mariano roughed up in the ninth

7. Team Crupi: 5 hits, 5 singles, Dempster roughed up with a 7.50era, McCann off the DL May 8th, needs Lackey back ASAP

8. Team Ev: A Gonz two dingers, 20TB's yesterday, Lester not very good in 6, Street strikes out the side for a save, still needs to pick up some pitching

9. Team Sean: 4/2/1/6/.257, 3for28, tough day at the plate, save Fuentes, E Santana back soon

10. Team Sligger: a solid 2for21, .174 OBP, 2 uneventful starts from Floyd and Myers, save Papelbon and F Cord.

11. Team Brown: out of the basement, let's all sing (movin on up...to the east side...to a penthouse apartment in the sky-yyy) 2/1/1/9/.261, Volquez great in 8ip. 0.25whip

12. Team Crowley: welcome to the basement, you may want Shot to take over this team. Hunter hit a dinger, Marmol era 108.00 with a 12whip. That's the reality...

This guy is making career comeback in fantasy this year...

This guy's in the league

and we're back.....

I hope those girls kept you entertained. The girl on the left won the "hot body" contest in Panama City during Spring Break. She follows a long list of Panama City winners:

2008 Jessica Cooper

2007 Noelle O'Brien

2006 Jess Williams

2005 Brenda Johnson

2004 Brenda Johnson

2003 Mary Montana

2002 Nicole Thompson

2001 Geoffrey Bagshaw (a late entry while we were all down there)

Log jam at the top...

1. Team Riz: Utley 2 dingers, solid day from Sandoval, Braun, and Ethier. save from new guy Jenks, Meche terrible, Billingsley solid

1. Team Sully: 7/5/0/18/.475, Kemp and Markakis keep hitting, HR by Dunn, Granderson stays cold, Aaron Hill filling in nicely, no SP's went

3. Team Josh: Baker 0-3 with 3 runs scored...strange line, Konerko 3/7 in a double header, Great day on the mound, Sanchez looks like a good young hard throwing lefty, W Rod a win, Francisco and Gonzo saves

4. Team Fitz: 4/8/0/17/.256, tough OBP day, Broxton win, Morneau hit a bomb.

5. Team Bags: Ichiro 2/10 in the doubleheader, Hart swiped a g_bag_shaw, Bartlett continues to hit well, King Felix an 8inn 9K gem

6. Team $: 7/9/3/17/.327 Pedroia continues the "laser show" with a 3/4 day, Ped, Beltre, and Jeter all stole a base, Soriano HR, Saunders win, Lindstrom save.

7. Team Crupi: Wow, 3/32, 4TB's, don't worry guys, his team is still "Nasty". Nolasco continues to go downhill, tough luck Hamels pitches well in 4 then hurts his ankle, save Bell

8. Team Sean: 5/1/1/1/14/.425, Cantu 9TB's on the bench, Hawpe gets nailed right after the trade but should be back tomorrow, save Fuentes and Hoffman back in the mix with a save.

9. Team Ev: creepin up slowly but surely, Cano stays hot, Manny 3/3 w 6TB's, Danks lit up, Liriano and Millwood pitched well, Millwood W, Wood got the win against the Sox

10. Team Sligger: DeRosa 4/5 with 4 R's and 8TB's, rest of the team stinks, Berkman is painful, Kinsler coming back to earth a bit, Hughes goes 6 strong and picks up the win. I would love to see Dean's face every morning when he looks at his team. Probably something like this...

11. Team Crowley: team OBP under .200, thats hard to do, Upton, Reyes and Howard combined 0/12, Win from Zambrano and Nathan

12. Team Brown: yawwn, 3/1/1/7/.469, Phillips good day on the bench, Lohse solid, Harang not great going 5IP w a 9ERA. Basement feels coooool

This blog is brought to you by college chicks...because they are in college...

Swine Flu Choo

Looks like the Swine Flu has even hit Fantasy Baseball. Finally an explanation of why Rollins sucks. Picked up Ass Dribble Cabrera as Rollins hasn't played in 2 days so he must be quarantined. Thank god I figured out his problem....phew.

10 bucks to anyone that understands this picture from 2004...I mean really?

1. Team Sully: quiet day yesterday but Markakis keeps on hitting, best OF in fantasy this year and if healthy should stay in all offensive categories. Also, i would like to point out that Sully NEVER drops his shoulder or hands when he hits a softball, so hard to do...kudos bitch

2. Team Riz: Votto and Ethier keep hitting, 4/4 day from Sandoval on the bench, Wilson blew a save. Traded Hawpe for Jenks to get another solid closer. Dean must know something we don't so I will try to get 20 points from the Save category. Can't change my lineup because the use of my forearm is zero (thanks Josh for the line drive laser). Typing this blog lefty, just think a funnier version of Cliff Lee.

3. Team Fitz: 7/3/1/11/.387 day yesterday, developed a new rivalry with Crowley in a msg board shouting match. Sticking around with some obscure names on the staff. Somehow Fitz always puts a good team out there without a true ace. Maybe Bedard is that ace this year?

4. Team Josh: Bagodome 2/5/0/6/.800 yesterday, other than that tough OBP day with .265, Harden solid in 6 with 9K's, Rich Harden Smith will be born in August I hear, congrats!

5. Team Crupi: not much doing yesterday, HR by Ankiel, Uggla 2/4, gets Lackey back in a few weeks, could be a nice staff if he ever realizes that Verlander throwing 102 8 inches off the plate still stinks. Drew's first AB against Pettite looked like he didn't even want to be up

6. Team $: Swiped 3 bags including Ellbury's home plate, I thought Francona was going to take him home after the game with the way they were talking after, similar to the Connors/Crupi "Seannnnn, You can stayyyyy hereeee (3:30am)".

7. Team Bags: Pac Man with a line of 2/3/1/7/.800, everyone else was quiet. Save from Valverde

8. Team Sean: gained 7.5 points, wins by Masterson (broom), Halladay, and Crupi's new butt buddy Galarraga, 5/8/1/16/.517, good OBP day, traded Jenks to Riz for Hawpe

9. Team Ev: anytime Ev is over Dean it is a good day in my book, Cameron and A Gonz had good days, Inge a HR, staff still needs help, O Perez looked like a 13 yr old, Marquis got a shaky win, Wood a save

10. Team Sliggs: (cue the carnival music) Kinsler 0/5, Crush Davis had a dinger, 9 RBI's 4 from Victorino, Sherrill had a save, I want Dean's staff roster screen printed on t-shirts for next year's draft.

11. Team Crowley: I wish I had video of that fly ball Crowley, I can't stop laughing, I am glad you still have your balls though. 6/3/1/14/.389 is solid, Kershaw was, well, he likes fruit and he just got a haircut, 17ERA

12. Team Brown: not sure what happened at the 99 the night before but Peavy and J Zimm were on the bench, Bruce had 9TB's on the bench, Brown has been hitting well lately but needs a solid week of that.

Kiss this blog goodbye until tomorrow

Over the hump?

L.A. Wertmannnn........you're my Wertmannnn.....

Numbers don't lie fools. To quote Will Ferrell in Blades of Glory when he puked in the mascot suit, "That's the reality folks". Speaking of Blades of Glory, how nice was Blades of Steel! Sick!
Let's go inside the numbers.....

1. Team Sully: Sully is winning by getting on first, swiping second, and getting knocked in. 12 in both runs and SB's, Solid staff with 10ERA and 10WHIP. All around solid

2. Team Riz: TB's are the catalyst, I drafted strictly on TB's thinking that runs and RBI's work hand in hand with them. 1 in SB's. FU Rollins. Pitching is tight 12's, 2.77ERA and 1 1.00WHIP, thanks Haren and Billingsley

3. Team Josh: doing it with pitching, K's, ERA, and WHIP all 11's, light on hitting but solid 10 on SB's

4. Team Fitz: as usual saves a strongpoint with 11, surprising 12 in K's, balance all over but hitting a little light to take the next jump

5. Team Bags: pitching strength 10/2/10.5/8/7, Saves and SB's need to come up from a 2, may need to pick up a closer to make a move

6. Team Crupi: it's a good thing Crupi can hit because his staff pitches like on old rusty lawnmower, offense 11/11/4/11/12, great numbers. K's 1, ERA and WHIP 2's, yuck

7. Team $: average all around, an 11 in the worst category around, Wins. OBP 1 is a problem, shows that the offense may be getting lucky. SB's 11, may want to trade for some OBP guys.

8. Team Sean: Terrible offense, 1/2/6/1/4. Dealing Halladay may help to get some bats, that lineup wouldn't even scare my cat Truman and he is a pussy

9. Team Sliggs: not a typical Dean/Higgins production, staff sucks, someone may want to tell Dean he can only get a 12 in the save category (1/4 of his total points) Offense looks like it can pick it up but pitching needs help, maybe this Porcello guy is the 2nd coming of Christ? Can Kinsler pitch?

10. Team Ev: I am going to throw some numbers out, a 1 in wins, saves, era, and whip. ERA is 7.07, WHIP is 1.60, could probably cut your staff, pick up all new pitchers, and do better than that. TRADE MANNY!

11. Team Crowley: not horrible but iCrowley's team isn't really good at anything. SB's a 9, ERA a 9, everything else is a yawn

12. Team Brown: at least Brown trades and has a chance of coming out of this. Pitching staff can come around as Peavy, Volquez, Harang can produce. This team has potential, just playing as bad as they possibly can.

How ya like my team? It's friggin mint!

iCrowley

Joe Sullivan is AWESOME!

Wow, this kid os so awesome. Can't quite get over it. I mean he is in FIRST PLACE! WOW! What and awesome guy!

1. Team Sully: Move fuled by hitting as he raked 8/3/1/21/.381. Young and Granderson come up with good days, 14TB's. CC beat up, that place is a launching pad, dump Yankee pitching!

2. Team Riz: Kid jumped 10 points, Ethier and Lowell stay red hot, Haren another gem, this time gets a win, nice bounce back by Cliff Lee, Rollins a sweeeet single

3. Team Josh: Frogg has been rode hard and put away wet a few times too many, tough day at the office, 6 for 30, Hanley 2-4 with a bag

4. Team Fitz: 6/5/0/21/.417 Great day for Morneau, 2/2/0/7/.500, Damon 3-5 with a .714 OBP, C Young solid without a win

5. Team Crupi: Sick of hearing this guy talk about his team, they are good but paper is paper. JD Drew stays hot, pitching is suspect, Cueto good, BJ horrible, Nolasco and Maholm not great. Needs Hamels to anchor this staff.

6. Team Bags: Is this where bags loses it? Still has Doumit playing C, out for months, Baker horrible vs. the Sox, Longoria only bright spot 3/4

7. Team $: Good day at the plate, 7/8/0/20/.400, Rios, Jeter, and Pedroia good days, Saunders 5IP and 0 K's and lit up, still cant get over Suppan still on his roster.

8. Team Sliggins: slowly crawling back into society, Berkman dinger, Holliday 2/6, singles though, this staff is awful...Rick Porcello? sounds like the guy who istalled my dishwasher, more closers than starters...

9. Team Sean: Mags and Ortiz picking it up, 8TB's combined, Penny outduels Liriano for a W

10. Team Ev: Crawford heard me loud and clear, 4/5 all category day, Inge has had C eligibility since 2003, has he even caught a game? I mean every year, jeez. Danks stays hot, Liriano lit up with a 15ERA

11. Team Crowley: good day hitting 5/5/2/19/.415, Pence, Hunter, BJ all good days, good team not playing well, Reyes needs to pick it up

12. Team Brown: Brown continues to drive this team into the ground, bad play all around, not his fault, bright spot has been Hair Hurrhens, Werth good day with a bag, no IF production as of yet

May 1st starts team shakeup month. If you have been in the basement year after year, you need to change it up!

Jaws looks exactly like Sully

I still can't get over it.

Andddddd we're back, the alcohol is pretty much all out of my system so we can continue the blog.

1. Team Josh

MVP: Johan Santana 2 wins. 27K's 0.46 ERA and a 0.81 WHIP, sick numbers

LVP: Chris Ianetta 3 for 27? Yuck

2. Team Sully

MVP: I am going with Matt Kemp 12/14/4/38/0.439. A lot of guys playing well but I like the balance Kemp is giving Dirty Wert right now

LVP: Curtis Granderson 9/8/1/26/0.279. He will pick it up but tough start to the season

3. Team Fitz

MVP: Bedard, I say that because Fitz needed a SP to step up as he didnt go into the season strong with pitching. 1W, 23K's, 1.86ERA, 0.98WHIP

LVP: Morneau, nothing special thus far, 10/9/0/28/0.350

4. Team Riz

MVP: Ethier, 11/16/1/29/.0438 has outplayed Braun and shown good power

LVP: Rollins has been awful, totally awful 5/4/0/14/0.200, awful

5. Team Bags

MVP: Tough call, Jones or M Cabrera, I'll choose Miggy, 11/12/1/37/0.500 slowed down a bit but has been a monster for Bags

LVP: Burrell, always a slow starter 5/5/0/16/0.333

6. Team Crupi

MVP: Youk, 12/10/1/38/0.559 crazy OBP

LVP: Beltran, 4/8/0/22/0.456 terrible numbers from a keeper

7. Team $

MVP: I'll say Soriano, consistent all April, 15/9/2/33/0.393

LVP: Teixiera: 5/8/0/19/.354, strange considering Bags could hit a ball out of that park

8. Team Sean

MVP: Halladay great line, 3W, 26K's, 3.72ERA, 1.03WHIP
LVP: Ortiz, this guy has to show us something other than a lucky dead center triple 4/6/0/14/0.283

9. Team Sliggins
MVP: Kinsler easily, 14/16/6/48/0.517, crazy start
LVP: Crush Davis, looks like Pedro Cerrano hitting a curveball, 5/5/0/14/0.239

10. Team Ev
MVP: Cano, leading his team in TB's 13/8/1/32/.441
LVP: Crawford 4 steals but not much else, 6/7/4/18/0.246, yuck

11. Team Crowley
MVP: Sizemore has been steady, 14/14/2/35/0.386
LVP: could be a few of them, I'll take a split, Zambrano(1.58WHIP) and Alexei Ramirez (8TB's)

12. Team Brown
MVP: McLouth 10/13/2/25/0.377, good numbers for the last place Brown
LVP: Hamilton, Volquez, or Peavy, pick your poison

"Nate"

Blog going on a brief hiatus until Sunday because of these two...

Thirsty Thursday

"I see your hair is burning, Hills are filled with fire. If they say I never loved you, You know they are a liar.

Drivin' down your freeway, Midnight alleys roam.

Cops in cars, topless bars, never saw a woman

So alone, so alone, so alone, so alone

Motel money murder madness Let's change the mood from glad to sadness."

Like Jim Morrison, this man is on top...and nuts
1. Team Josh: Huge days from Delgado and Cruz (6 RBI's), tough day for Harden and Percival, kid came to play
2. Team Bags: I mean Bags? In second? Nice bags. Cabrera the MVP thus far, doesnt stop hitting ever, Baker lit up, Ichiro 4RBI's? bags had him on the bench
3. Team Riz: steady, quiet day, Lowell filled in and hit a dinger, .483 OBP
4. Team Crupi: huge day at the plate 7/12/0/19/.432, Ludwick, Drew and Uggla 3RBI's each. Balfour cannot get it together thus far
5. Team $: Hafner playing well, Wells a dinger, Jeter staying solid.
6. Team Fitz: not a great day at the plate, Carlos Lee knocked in 3, Pena a dinger, longest picthing roster I have ever seen, Broxton stays lights out with a win
7. Team Sully: low OBP at .306, Rolen HR and M Young swiped a bag, no pitching went
8. Team Sean: Cantu back playing well, had a SB too, Bay stayed hot with 2 runs, good picthing with Galarraga lights out and Petite strong in a ND
9. Team Crowley: Hunter big day 2/2/1/7, Sizemore 2for4, a lot of offense on the bench, Kershaw with a gem, 13K's, Cain solid but that usually high WHIP, Lowe tough outing with a 7ERA
10. Team Sliggins: Kinsler "my son" hits for the cycle, line of 5/4/1/13, D Lee 3for4 with 6TB's, staff stays bad with a bad outing from Owings
11. Team Brown: Hamilton a day with 1/1/1/2, McLouth 2for3, no pitching
12. Team Ev: good day at the plate 7/4/0/19/.343, Cano and Gonzalez HR's, Save Wood, Street blows one, Perez a Win with a WHIP under 1

...and just like that, they are updated

Okay, after a brief easter hiatus, the league blog is back, better than ever. Well not really, but it's pretty damn good

Who is on top? Someone who needs only one name and a strange pronounciation. Frogg, for the last time its (Froh-ggggggg) soft g. Kid is mint

1. Team Josh: Good day at the plate, Quentin, Snider, Wright, combined 23 total bases, Gallardo got knocked around though, 12 ERA

2. Team Riz: one thing I will always enjoy, is the Riz vs Frogg battles in the UMASS league. Ethier two dingers, Huff 4/5, Billingsley a gem w 11K's, save Soria. Billingsley, Haren, Josh Johnson? fugggggggggeda boooooouuut it

3. Team Bags: nice work by Bags this year, good start. Nice day at the plate, 9 runs 11RBI's, HR's by Burrel and Hart

4. Team Fitz: Roberts and Pena good days, Pena 8 TB's, Fitz sticking around with solid pitching.

5. Team Sully: Huge jump with 26pts, Wins by Lilly, Greinke, and Kaz. Good day at the plate, Rolen and Markakis nice days, 23 TB's

6. Team Crupi: 10pt drop, tough OBP at .276, Youk carrying Crupi, 2 saves and a win by Frasor...yes Frasor

7. Team $: Swisher, Wells, Rios all hit well, Swisher picthed better than Wang as well...Lidge and Slowey tough on the mound, Slowey didn't look very good at all, only 2 K's

8. Team Sean: solid but uneventful day at the plate, Choo, Drew decent days but lacking that real run and rbi production, Pelfrey not very good giving up 5 in 5innings

9. Team Brown: Dye 7TB's, Prince needs to get it goin. Volquez and Randy were terrible, Volquez somehow got a win, yuck

10. Team Crowley: 5/4/0/10/.353 should have known BJ upton was back, had 2 steals and looked solid, Konerko 9TB's on the bench,

11. Team Ev: 7/3/1/12/.371, good run production, still no one really bringing people in though, Manny needs to heat up, started Wang (I will end it there)

12. Team Dean: great day hitting, Holliday and Crush Davis got out of their funk, Kinsler stays solid with 4TB's and a bag. Pitching is awful and can't win with that staff. Webb has to picth out of his mind for Dean to content in pitching categories.

You celler dwellars may want to put some trade feelers out there, it is early but some patterns are developing and you should be able to see the holes of your team.

the gospel of P

waiting for the points to be updated...

In the meantime I talked to Dan Crupi over the weekend. He's up in Townsend now, single family house, two car garage, pool, nice set up. Nice guy, seems like he is really into his job. Email him if you want crupi20@yahoo.com, he is also on Facebook although he looks frightening in most pics.

Guest Blogger next week

This Guy will be giving his take on the UMASS League and how teams are shaping up...

Day 4

The kids are on top...

Team Riz: a 4/6/0/16 .538 day yesterday, Lind has really been a spark, save from Soria, how you like me now?

Team Frogg: It wouldnt be the UMASS league if it wasnt Josh and I battling up top, 6/4/1/12 .577 day, Percival a messy save

Team Crupi: Youk continues his hot hitting, Crupi continues his hog hunting, Save Bell

Team $: Texy first dinger, Molina 4RBI's. Burnett decent start but that WHIP will have to come down to justify Chris' Cy Young pick

Team Bags: Longoria made up most of his offense with 7TB's, Ichiro back soon

Team Sully: Granderson 5 category game, Kemp 2 RBI's

Team Fitz: VMART 5TB's, Garza good against the Sox

Team Sean: 2/17 and Jenks a blown save, Ortiz looks like he is done

Team iCrowley: good outings from Kershaw and Cain, Grady 2 dingers
